My Endo said that since I had been on the max dose for several months that I could start at either 7.5 or 10. I’m a 54 year old woman switching from Wegovy to zepbound. I was at full dose Wegovy and starting at 7.5 zepbound in about a week. I lost about 25 pounds on Wegovy over 9 months but most over the first 6 and have plateaued.
Some people, however, just don't end up tolerating the meds enough to continue. In clinical trials of 1.0mg, about 3-4% dropped out due to side effects. In trials of 2.4mg (Wegovy), about 7% dropped out due to side effects. Hopefully you'll get better with some time. It was a good idea to stay at 0.5mg until you're ready to move up.
